Shower in the fountain
"Shower in the Fountain" was intended to create a moment of connection between visitors and the vulnerable in society, by utilizing a public space in an unexpected way. This approach challenges dominant narratives and societal norms that often perpetuate the marginalization of vulnerable groups. Through this installation, I aimed to make the intangible concept of connection tangible by creating an understanding moment between the visitors and those who are often invisible in society. Creating intimate and personal encounters and opening up new possibilities for understanding is a common theme in my work. The installation itself consisted of a metal frame and shower curtain measuring 200cm x 150cm x 90 cm, and was located at Cc Strombeek in 2021.
